Javier Celaya

Javier Celaya (Bilbao, 1963) is a founding member of Dosdoce.com, a portal specialized in the use of new technologies in the cultural sector, and vicepresident of the Asociación de Revistas Digitales de España (ARDE)

Over the last 20 years, Javier has developped his professional carreer in various companies related to the world of communications and new technologies. As CEO of the Business Development Division for Southern Europe at Burson-Marsteller (1992-2000) he acted as a consultant for companies such as Telefónica, Microsoft, Motorola, Northern Telecom, BellSouth, Adobe, among others. In the year 2000 he took the responsibility of launching the e-commerce project of the company Commerce One in Spain and Portugal. In March, 2004 he founded Dosdoce.com, a portal specialized in detecting and analyzing tendencies related to the world of communications and new technologies. From Dosdoce.com he has taken part in formation and digitalization projects for organizations and bodies such as Fundación Germán Sánchez Ruipérez, Grupo Planeta, Fundación Tàpies, Grupo Santillana, Grupo Anaya, Random House Mondadori, Junta de Antalucía, Fundación BBK, Grupo BPMO, among others.

Javier has published several books and studies on the use of new technologies in the communication and corporate marketing strategy. He is the author of the studies 'El papel de la comunicación en la promoción del libro' (2005), 'El uso de las tecnologías Web 2.0 en entidades culturales' (2006), 'Tendencias Web 2.0 en el sector editorial' (2007); 'La digitalización del libro en España' (2008) and 'La visibilidad de las ciudades en la web social' (2009). In November, 2008 he published the book 'La empresa en la web 2.0' (Editorial Gestión2000).

Javier Celaya has a Master's degree on International Affairs from the University of Columbia (New York) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Boston College.
